Use this feature to automatically convert a reference field into a text field, with a new value saved in a new field

Create a Transform Reference Into Field query
Go to Admin > Automation > Transform Reference into field
- Click on the + sign to create a new job.
- Give it a name and confirm.
- Select the Source data structure where all your data is saved.
- Select the Source field that you want to transform. (Single reference fields only)
- Select the Target reference field, where you wish to save the text. This field should be pre-created under the data structure.
- You can enable Skip record if the target field is filled. In this case, the job will not override already filled records.
- Save

You will be redirected to the list of Transform Ref into field jobs.

Open the menu of the job you have created, and click on Run Once.

Follow the progress of the job under View Job status. For more details, check this page.

Check your data table. You will find the text field filled with data. The original reference field will remain as well.
Menu actions
In the menu of each job, you will find the following actions:
- Edit: Edit any configuration of an existing job.
- Run once: Run the automation job to get the desired results.
- History: View the actions performed on this job with the user's details and the date.
- Archive: Move this job to the archive when it's no longer needed.
Table actions
- On top of the Transform Ref into Field jobs, you will find the following actions:
- Click on the + sign to add a new job
- Select Page length: Define how many jobs you want to see on one page. The default is 25.
- Refresh: to refresh the list (the list will auto-refresh unless you have this section opened in 2 tabs/windows/users, and you are applying changes on the other one)
- Show archived: When enabled, the archived jobs will be displayed on the same list.
