Import XLSX file(s)

Go to Admin  > Import Data From Files

✅ Recommended when you have XLSX files on your computer

With this option, you can either drag and drop your XLSX files into the button, or you can click it to select your file(s) - you can import more than one file at once.

  1. Select your files according to the options above and click on Ok;

  2. The file's content will appear, each file on a tab. The tab name will be the name of the uploaded file;

  3. If a file contains many sheets, you can browse through different sheets by checking the bottom tabs;

  4. Now check and verify the field type associated automatically with each column of the imported data. Click on the type icon in order to change it, if desired;

  5. Select the Target Data Structure after verifying all files and sheets;

  6. If you want to save the data in a new data structure, simply click on the + button;

  7. This will open a dialog with the data structure pre-filled. Verify the properties of this data structure and update them if needed;

  8. Save the data structure;

  9. Your new data structure will be automatically selected under the Target Data Structure list;

  10. Append will add all the data to your report. After appending the records, you can click on the open button on the right side of the field Target Data Structure to see your report filled.

    If you wish only to create the data structure without adding any data, you can simply ignore the Append button.

    Import data from files 2

⚠️ Re-do these steps on the other tabs in case you have uploaded more than one file. Note that you can add them under the same data structure or create a different data structure for each file.

💡 After step 9, the following options are possible:

  • Next to the data structure name, click on the open button (on the right side of the field Target Data Structure). This will open the table view of your report.

  • Check the list of fields and complete the matching. This is needed in case you have changed the name of any field before saving the data structure. If you haven't changed anything, the matching is automatically done by the system.
